Quest is a global and local (glocal) cross-cultural ministry, which seeks to equip, empower, and commission NewSong members in helping people come to know God. We desire to reach emerging ethnic leaders and provide holistic ministries that result in church plants. Ultimately, it is Quest’s vision that every NewSong member is participating in the process of global holistic transformations of all people.
In keeping up with God’s leading, our Cause Circle team has clarified our three core values within holistic transformations that we believe will have lasting fruit beyond our lifetime. The three overarching values that NewSong holds in the area of global holistic transformations are:
- Diversity: We passionately pursue a church of all nations. We believe that God’s design is for his people to come together from diverse cultural and economic backgrounds to worship Him and celebrate their differences.
- Emerging Ethnic Leaders: We believe that it is essential for all transformation efforts to have at their core, a plan for raising up and empowering ethnic leaders to serve in their own communities. Indigenous leaders have the greatest potential for impacting and carrying forward the Kingdom work that has begun in their midst.
- Holistic Community Transformation: Our vision at NewSong is to develop collaborative partnerships with organizations and local churches that are involved in community transformation efforts in urban and suburban areas globally. We desire to assist communities in pursuing the wholeness of life, dignity, justice and hope that God intends for them. By assisting communities in a range of areas (health, education, sports, the arts, micro-enterprise, and church planting), we hope to provide them the tools necessary to become self-sustainable and reproducible so as to manage their own development in the future.
